Maximum Attachment Sizes

Maximum sizes for various attachments are as follows:
  • Image Files (BMP, JPEG, JPE, JPG, PNG): 150,000 bytes, 1200 x 1200 pixels
  • DOC: 500,000 bytes
  • PDF: 1,000,000 bytes
  • TXT: 500,000 bytes
  • ZIP: 500,000 bytes
If you need a photo editing program to shrink your image file to the appropriate file size and dimensions, I highly recommend Irfanview which is free, small, and works quite well: http://www.irfanview.com.

Posting Rules

The rules for posting on this message board are basically common sense and basic etiquette:
  • BC4x4.COM is able to provide large volumes of 4x4-related content and its message board service for free ONLY because it is supported by paying advertisers and individual message board supporters. It is for this reason that we do not allow any non-paying advertisers to promote their company or services on this message board. This includes solicitations for business. Links to business websites are also not permitted, whether in the body of the message, or in the signature line. We thank you for your co-operation and encourage your recreational use of our website and message board.
  • Treat all board members with the same respect you would if dealing with them in person.
  • No racial or sexual slurs.
  • When posting in the For Sale forums, do not stick your nose into someone else's thread just criticize how much they're asking for an item.
Any violation of the rules could result in temporary suspension of posting privileges or, in more severe cases, a permanent ban.

Board Supporter Benefits and How-to

Become a board supporter and get the following additional features:
  • Custom avatars and profile images: Upload your own image files to be used as your avatar or profile image.
  • Private Messaging: Send/receive messages to/from other board supporters, with a mailbox capacity of 200 messages.
  • Attachments: Upload up to five file attachments to each post. This allows you to post picture or other file types without finding someplace on-line that will host your photos for you.
  • Custom Title: Change the title below your username that shows up in each of your posts.
  • Infractions: Spot a spammer? Is someone posting in a morally reprehensible manner? You can give someone an infraction that goes against their record. Ah, revenge is sweet. (Administrator gets the final say on whether the infraction was warranted)
  • You will become eligible to enter the free prize draws we offer throughout the year.
