I searched around on here, and yes, im having problems mostly disengaging the front axle. Anyways, I dont really care too much for fixing it as is, as I know this problem is quite common in Jeeps with the vacuum shift motor.
I dont want to buy a posi-loc set either as these are rather expensive.
However, Ive heard of ways to modify the motor using a manual choke with a push/pull configuration to engage and dis-engage manually, instead of relying on the motor(i dont want to be stuck in a hole and have 4x4 cut out).
I could have sworn there was a page on this forum about doing this, but I cant seem to find it. Anyone done this, or have an awesome page with pics and maybe part #'s? I havent taken the thing apart yet to know exactly how it works, but i would rather have some ideaor atleast an idea of the length of the cable needed before i start drillin
