    Does an 81 FS5W71B 2x4 trans interchange with861/2(87) FS5W71C

Haynes doesn't go into differences between the two, I was wondering could I use W71C transfer case to trans adapter on a W71B 2x4 trans and install into my 87 4x4 pickup????

bob it doesn't look like you're getting much help ... it's a pretty specific question. Have you tried posting on the "other" nissan board? Very broad readership, good technical knowledge. You know the one I'm talking about?

Dean thanks for your responce. I did a search on one of them for info, and came up with a lot of info about overfilling stock trans with oil. Also that GL5 was incorrect gear oil for transmissions. I was not a member so thought I would try posting question here first. I'll call len @ langley nissan today, he knows his stuff pretty well.

This was the nissan site I was at. Any other nissan sites you would recommend? http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/
