    Headgasket/timing belt?

    Ok...i somehow agreed to change a timing belt and a head gasket on a 93 nissan pickup... never done one of these on a nissan before...anything i need to look for or not do?

    i really gotta stop agreeing to do these things....

    Make sure you have good book (Shop Manual or at least Chilton's, stay away from Hayness crap)
    Back when I did mine, the new belt - compliments of Lordco - had its marks painted backwards. I was lucky I didn't bend my valves or something. Make sure you count the teeth and all that.
    Other than that it's all easy, just a regular PITA.

    thanks...looks like ill be investing in a manual...headgasket should be easy... i hate doing timing belts though
