Question Traveling from Montana to Alaska August 2016....

Greetings all, I am planning a trip to the Kenai mid August of 2016 to travel up thru Prince George then on to the Cassier hwy. on my way to Alaska. I am seeking info on spots to pull off the road over night each night to camp with my F250, 4x4, towing my 17' Bigfoot trailer. Need only over night, noncommercial campgrounds as I have a time limit traveling north. I have traveled the Cassier twice before with my wife, no wife this trip. Therefore I am looking for simplified spots, no elec., no sewage, no TV or other stuff. I plan to return to MT mid Sept. with more time to enjoy scenery. Perhaps could meet with bc4x4.com members. Thanks for any and all information and help you might extend. MTG

Imagine that...559 views and not one reply. Looks like BC members do not reply to members in the lower 48. Good 'nuff! Thanks anyway. MTG

Iím aware of the fact that this thread is really old, though I wonder if you made the trip from Montana to Alaska? I checked the map and there is around 1,900 miles. I found it a lot for driving! How did you manage to do that? Were you driving alone?

My parents live in Anchorage, Alaska and I am planning to drive there from Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The road is even longer than from Montana, but anyway I am curios how did you make it? Do you have any tips and recommendations for a driver who have never had long roads. It is going to be the first long road which I will conquer. I am so exciting, though in the same time Iím really nervous that different issues can happen on the road like popping the tire, make a wrong turn or even accidents. By the way I will be heading from Westgate resorts (here is the official website westgateresorts.com) in July and I believe the weather wonít play against my plans. I am looking forward to read your experience.
