thanks for the heads up on that. Engel is the the best in portable refrigerators, and actually the manufacturer of most of them such as the ARB branded fridge.

they are great. They are expensive and heavy but the weight is relative if you consider you will not have to add 10 lbs of ice ... For 699 they are worth the money over a crappy cooler that you need to feed with ice from then on.

I have been waiting for mine since january, so dont wait too long to get one for the summer.

    Re: Engel Fridges on sale

I got it from the main location in vancouver. I got the MT-27, which is the smallest (except for the carry cooler models). I need it to be very portable so I opted for the smallest and lightest one. If weight and space is no concern then get one of the bigger ones.

Also an option, since it cools to -18 C or so, you can have a big regular cooler and just make ice in the engel to feed the other ...

I had one of these on my sailboat and nothing beats them! If you have a use for one and use it all the time then the price won't scare you away.

yes, its the best deal in canada I have found. The one cadex found is also not bad. It is cheaper than what I found on amazon and you dont pay shipping.
