Sorry but it just looks like the start of a build, nothing special about cept he tried to make the fenders look cool. Oh and he gave it his best with a piss poor mans job with the el-cheapoo wheel spacer trick. Really good way to snap a few stock parts.
I can't be a judge just from a few pics but it looks like a pretty stock truck. Yeah he put a few add ons when he got it but even your average guy that lives in the concrete jungles do this.
I would take a hummer first.
can you get a 5500 4x4 from the factory? wouldn't it just be a 1 ton front diff?
i don't think the guy built it to go everywhere, i don't even think they have rocks in alberta. its more of an overland camping rig by the looks of it. he just added on some other stuff to make it look cool that doesn't really need to be there.
i think he made it more of a heavy hauling truck that is comfortable and would also work off-road which i think is pretty neat if you ask me. there is a gooseneck hitch on it and it's in alberta so i wouldn't doubt he hauls 30,000 lbs of cow/horse shit with it regularly with ease.

I asked about buying a 5500 2wd and the local Alberta dealer couldn't understand why I would want one, and told me they had never seen one. Yes they come in 4wd.
All the doubters of the build should check out the builders web site. Evolution Machine makes some of the most hardcore stuff out there, including the Evo Joint, not to mention Clay's Warthog.
Do some research, then see if you can afford to bash this rig or not. I don't think it was called a rock buggy.
one day you will see something well built but for now its ok to like what you know.I asked about buying a 5500 2wd and the local Alberta dealer couldn't understand why I would want one, and told me they had never seen one. Yes they come in 4wd.

I agree, some guys like to label stuff as hack without seeing it! I am familiar with the shop and agree they build some great stuff.I would like to see a build thread for the truck so people could be clear what went into it.I asked about buying a 5500 2wd and the local Alberta dealer couldn't understand why I would want one, and told me they had never seen one. I guess I'll put it in an uneducated way that you may or may not comprehend.
Go read my post. Is that more clear?
As for you knocking me I hope you get satisfaction from that and you sleep well tonight!

What tie dye is out?? And to think I was going to wear my tie dye shirt, my acid was jeans and my Nike high tops tomorrow.

Trends are cycical, it'll all be back in in a few years, hold onto them. And I don't see what the big deal, what guy wouldn't want a Hummer?
Thanks man
I normally don't stick up for stuff that I've never seen, but I have a hard time believing this thing is a piece of shit. It's obvious the owner had enough money to buy a $70,000 truck and $45,000 camper, so why would he do a hack job on it.
i would just want the camper, 4 season artic fox's are niiiicee heated tanks are a must in the real coldcould use some more work for reliability sake..but beyond that, a good start for highway gravel trips..
