hey everyone i just need to toot my own horn for a little while.... so I bought this truck like 4 years ago been using her as a daily driver around surrey as of recently also drove it to Clearwater from the coast over newyears flawlessly for only 200 bones in fuel including driving around town and a little bit of playtime..... she had 95000 original kilometers on it for $1000 i got a good deal.....with a 360cid rebuilt at 49000 k, a turbo 400 trans, quadratrac transfercase, pushing dana 44's with 3.55's g.r. on propane. over the holidays it just rolled over 100000k i am so proud..... the body was falling apart on it real bad. So anywayz i have recently chopped the box panels off of it and installed some roof cladding to make it look better and to stop the flapping in the wind as i drove down the highway.... worked out pretty good for now till i can haul my parts truck up from seattle that has my new cab and box in perfect condition only needing paint. I have also put it on 35x12.5 tires and wheels. the only thing holding the front fenderz together when i got it was the paint so i have replaced the entire front clip with the exception of the hood and grill. Till i can get my offroad bumper i took 2 parts of the 3 piece front bumper off so that only the center is left. I have planz for dana 60's front and rear, (looking for a front one to match up but put it on hold due to money) a spring over axle conversion in the front which will give me approx 7in of lift, and on the rear i plan to chop the 4 leaf spring mounts and re-hang new ones closer to the ground to bolt up my 1ton springs to even her out, and I may even put some spring blocks in just to get a lil higher in the back. and if i can make it happen an NP205 transfercase to take the abuse i plan to put her through....... this truck rides like a dream and i will never sell her..... some day when i am incapable of driving this will be me 5year old sons rig. I will post some pix of the updates soon. Stay tuned.
ps included in the pix are some of another j10 all jacked up this is roughly how mine should look after the lift. also a pic of my dads honcho that he has for sale if anyone is interested.
