Was just there on Sun. Easy way down, has all the water crossings, they were flowin hard but still very crossable. The other 'hard' way is easy enough. I went down the easy route and came up the hard route no probs. Lots of outflow from the creek at the beach.

Unless a major disaster takes place, that hale creek road will always be a cake walk (with no snow of course). Case in point, last spring I led a friend there, he was driving a Mitsubishi outlander (P255/50/16 tires), and that was his first time off pavement!
    Water level was comparable

    It’s a great place, enjoy.

    On the off-topic "being prepared".
I remember a few winters back, I went for a weekday drive out to Stave to check out the first snowfall of the year. I came across a stuck little chevy pickup truck at the lake, they were in a hole plus 1 tire was off the rim. 3 guys were in it and they were miserable, they all were wearing t-shirts, wet runners and jeans. They had been stuck there for the night with no spare, no heat, no food, no drinks ( after they had drank all the beer that is ), no dry clothes and no cell reception.
I would hope that the majority of us wheelers out there area bit more prepared than that.

it was quite the trip thats for sure. But we went out prepared. We had enough food and supplies to last us for a few more days if needed. The only thing we forgot to pack along with us was the guy with the Unimog!
