I personally don't feel any animosity - only disappointment. I respect the work the 4WDABC has done and understand all too well the difficult job they have. I am however disappointed that they choose to isolate themselves from the larger 4WD community. I can't find any meeting minutes, information on work in progress, notice of new meetings/AGMs, or anything else related to the 4WDABC. Has it become a secret society? Is there a special handshake I need to learn?

Last I checked I'm a member but as a member the only communication I seem to get is a notice for renewal.

Heck I'm not even sure if the monthly runs are still happening.

Animosity was poor choice of words. I agree dissapointment is the better choice of what I meant to say.

I admire the efforts as well of the 4wdabc but like you said it would be hella better if they could interact more with the 4x4 community. I have been on a few runs and what not to collect garbage and enjoyed donating my time for a cause.

I'm sorry Jeff but that message is getting really old. I've been attending 4WDABC meetings since before you were president. I have been one of those people who volunteer their time and I've held a position in the 4WDABC. I know all about the work thats involved.

The problem I've got is that I can't see anything the 4WDABC is doing now. I'm sure they're doing excellent work but I have no visibility to it.

You say all my questions are answered on the website?

- If I click on the link to the forums I'm taken here.
- If I click on the events link I can only see some generic information. Nothing about the current events. No monthly meeting location, no runs, etc.
- If I click on the articles link I can see AGM minutes from 2008 and earlier but nothing from 2009 or later.
- If I look at land use it appears nothing's happened since 2004.

I'd like to get involved again but they're making it difficult. Heck I'd gladly volunteer my time to spend the 5-10 minutes needed to update their website.

And yes you are right, it needs updating and to be kept up to date.

Jeff, remember that the 4WDABC is providing a service that people pay money for, and that gives us the right to bitch and moan. With that being said, I am one that will not be renewing my membership (if it ever gets mailed to me). This past year has been a bust for the association, unless there is a big secret list of things being done that they are going to surprise us with..... been waiting over 8 months, yet no surprise.
