Actually, when I was there we got to the lake, hung out for a bit when we see some guy fishing. We asked him what he thought of the road in and he said it was no big deal. We asked him what he drove and it was a 2wd pick up. We were shocked. We asked him how he got there and he pointed that way and we drove out that way to see a bunch of 2wd vehicles and a way out that was very mild. We spent the better part of 2 months trying to find the lake too and all that time the way in was easy.
We ARE talking about the same lake right? You get to this one (taking the easy way) by driving straight instead of turning 90* right over the railroad tracks at the restaurant on your right and store right across the street from it...just down from Davis Lake turn off.

your waaaaay off Waltman.
Yes, the lake I'm thinking of is on the West side of Harrison. We took a trail around that went to the left off the main road. I can't remember where now, but I'm thinking it was near Lookout? The pic that was posted of the lake looks like the same one.
I remember when we left (the easy way) that we ended up driving by a hatchery and I'm pretty sure we ended up at the turn I mentioned. I would have to ask my friend to be sure, he has a better memory than I do.![]()

Lol ... waltman, how many beers did you drink that day ??
Yes, this lake is on the west side of Harrison.
No, it is nowhere near Lookout lake.
Yes, driving out of the Harrison FSR takes you by a hatchery, and eventually across railroad tracks in Deroche.
No, this lake's turn off is not on the left side of the road.
I think it's safe to assume this is definitely not the same lake lol![]()

I'll have to ask my friend about it the next time I see him. I'm pretty sure he referred to it as Secret lake. It HAS been a while. I should add, it did take several hours of driving to get to it once we turned off the main road. I was going to go to google maps and try and figure out how we may have gotten there, but I'm only able to get to a few of my bookmarks for some reason. I'm going to try and find my maps and see whether I saw it, or just took one too many pulls off that glue bottle.![]()

walter you are thinking of lookout lake. there are two ways to get to either side of it.
the lake the guys went to is much before that area. (if i'm thinking of the same lake) one way in and out with a few nice rock steps. most people drive right by it.
PM sent to Walt. Should un-confuse him.![]()

No, it's not Lookout Lake. That was one of the first lakes we went to. This lake took up the whole summer to find and it was actually in 92 that we did all the exploring.
I started looking at the maps I have, but the lake is just too small.
ha ha ha, I read your PM.
I'm downloading google earth now and I'll let you know if it was, or at least could have been the lake we were looking for and finally found.
