I saw a few of those jeeps heading east on the lougheed through mission this morning. Looked like a ton of fun.
What a great camping trip. Me and my passenger (Peter) only joined the group towards the end of Saturday, but had an awesome time. The guys were great people to sit around a campfire with, discussing wheeling, mechanics, fishing, hunting, politics, you name it!
here's a shot of this morning, looking south. Looked too good not to snap a pic. And it turned out pretty darn nice.
Looking towards the North now ... a different story. The snowline was as distinct as could be. It felt like 3 feet made the difference between no snow, and 8" of snow. This pic was on this morning, just looked stunning facing the north from hale creek.
Once you were up into the white stuff, it was just AMAZING! I was wheeling not too long ago, but wheeling in the snow i definitely missed. Had to go for a nice cruise
Just north of 20 mile bay, the snow started to appear in patches as low as 450 meters. Full cover by 600m, and solid layer at 800+. Nothing like driving in untouched, virgin snow
You can see how hard it was snowing up there in this video.
you tube snow video Nov 22
Wish I could have played longer, but was running out of time to join the group back at Hale creek and get our tents set up before dark, so no time for anything too adventurous.
Back at Hale:
What a beautiful morning today. The colors just looked amazing out thereWhoever didn't stay (Chris
) missed out.
One more before heading for home:
BTW, I also did some actual wheeling too, but was too mesmorized by hunting, the snow, and having a good time with great people at Hale to be taking pics![]()
97 TJ ... pretty much stock ...
Brian sorry i couldn't stay, wish i did though the morning looked like it worked out nice weather...Chris you missed Sonny in your attendance role call and for the record its a Jimmy... Sonny hopefully everything works out thats a bummer dude...and Igor nice pics actually, nice pics everyone one and awesome to meet you guys!
Winston (Green Jimmy)
Let me know whenever you guys head out wheeling again and hopefully i'll show up on time and actually get to wheel rather than wait around for the jeep guys (all day in the rain!) J/K!Again it was a pleasure to meet everyone.

one of my fav pics from saturday............
It is easier than it was the past year or two. The first culvert is hardly an obstacle anymore.
Igor, nice pics. I was hoping to hit some snow, but we weren't so lucky. I saw you drive by us at Hale, sorry I didn't get a chance to at least say hello. We had been there for a few hours so we were itching to leave.
Winston, Sonny is in the write-up; the "roll call" is my Ford Posse that I originally drove out with. I'll get that "Blazer" error fixed up when I get home tonight, sorry about that.Would like to get out with you again and see what that green machine can do.
Brian, I can't view the pics without joining. And if you think I'm gonna join a Jeep Forum, you got another thing coming!![]()
