The rear axel of my pathfinder is Limited slip. Any idea as to how to conquer this problem? A buddy of mine mentioned getting a different third member, if so, is there any floating around there? Also anybody have any ideas as to what the stock gear ratio for a 1990 pathfinder is?

What exactly is the problem with it? If the limited slip is worn out, you can get a rebuild kit for it.
I assume it's a V6 if it has the third member style. The model is a H233. The stock gear ratio should be 4.37:1 for 5spd, and 4.625:1 for auto.
To know for sure, check the door or under hood info plate.
HG43 = 4.37
HG46 = 4.625
I don't have a 3rd member, but I've got new 4.625:1 gears and a bearing/seal kit, if needed.

I just heard that its a pain to put a locker in it. we'll see though. I don't want to use an ARB locker, so I have to find a mechanical locker

So your looking for something like the detroit I've got in mine. :D
Get a third from a V6 pickup. They didn't come with limited slips for the most part. With an open carrier, you can install a lockrite or a detroit, if you can find one. The H233 is one of only 2 or 3 axles that you can use a detroit locker in the stock carrier.
