lifting a 84 pickup [Archive]

I just bought a 1984 nissan pick up king cab. its 4x4 so i want to throw some tires on it that are bigger then 27's. like some nice 31" mudders woruld be good, just wondering what kind of lift i will need to fit these. let me know whats the best, and the cheapest, i dont want a suspension lift because of the IFS, let me know whats best, thanks

if you dont want a suspension lift, the only thing left is a body lift ?
so i guess jam one of thos in :welder

will a 2" body lift be able to fit 31x11.5?

2" should be ok
me and a buddy put a 3" body lift in his and put 32" tires on it and they fit fine

sweet, did you have to do any mods with the 3" lift, like extended anything or drop the rad at all, or was it pretty basic?

Looks pretty good muddy and with 31's....

looks like this guy took off those big plastic fender flare things and maybe put a 2" bl... or no lift at all.
