Depends on what you want to use them for. What series are you looking at?

long lasting engines, Nissan's are know for that. One of the reasons I bought mine. Plus not as many lifted tweaked out pathy's out there anyways. Gets some good looks when done properly

Hmmm, just got mine about a month and a half ago, and since then ive had to replace lifters, injectors, O2 sensor and timing chain.220k km on it, but yes they are great engines, but i have heard injectors are crummy on them. In my experience id say get a 4runner if you are looking for something like a pathfinder.

Nissan's auto tranny in the 1990-1995 (Pathfinder) years are also no good. They consume a lot of fuel but are still underpowered...a common trait of these 3.0L V6s. You need to do a lot of work on them to make them a serious wheeler...they were not built HD. Too bad we don't have the Patrols here...they're real trucks.
The good news? They're cheap 4wds and realiable enough for around town and light trails, especially with the manual tranny.

well when you test drive it and it runs like that (a dream), you kind of figure it will for a while...

Well pathfinders have some tell tale signs of fatigue by looking and sounds to look for but to pay a 100 bucks to get it over looked is worth it.... in the long run...
