hello everyone, problems again...

1992 pathfinder, running (very)poorly.

Extremely under powered, often stalls after idling really low for a few seconds(Try to give it gas but it wont receive). And yesterday i took it on highway for first time since problem started, i get up to about 100kmh, put it in fifth, and it lugs down, this is on flat surface. It doesnt lug down if it is reving 3400+rpm, but just under that it does.Trying to figure this out, and just the other day it got broken into!!, so i had to deal with that. Just to let you know, it also makes a very loud lifter noise.

Thanks.

It could be any number of things.
Injectors
timing belt
computer
O2 sensor
fuel filter/ pump

Run the diagnostic codes if you can and see what they show

mine was showing the exact same symptoms, the problem with mine turned out to be dirt in the fuel tank that somehow got though the fuel filter and into the injectors and then clogged them up thus starving the engine of fuel. It was a long and expensive troubleshooting journey for me! mutherfockers at the nissan dealership took me for a ride! fockers! :angry good luck
