Just to put a quick heads up for all earlier model nissan drivers. In the past month I have had my 87 pathfinder stolen, I have seen 4 pathfinders on the back of tow trucks... two of which had their windows smashed out. One buddy of mine in abbotsford had his 90 pickup stolen and girlfriend of mine followed a pathfinder that apparently looked exactly like mine to icbc where she saw that they had removed the drivers side rear vent window. I didnt know this but when I got my truck back I looked through it and actually found that in some maintenance book I actually had a tiny key to my ignition... dont know if it was used in the robbery or not since there was no ignition lock cylinder damage but I would just give everyone a heads up to check for miscillaneous keys in your truck that could make stealing it that much simpler on the thieves. By the way.... just to give you an idea on how easy they are to break into and how important an anti-theft device is..... try popping the door lock with a swiss army knife.... you'd be surprised just how simple it is.

ah crap
on one of my trucks that lock falls out anyway!

heres what i do:

I got a truck off a bud for cheap, he had hit a pole.
so i fixed it all up, except for the bumper, so the bumpers got
a BIG dent in it from a pole, so i just park with the bumper up to a pole and i lools like i hit it!!
(only worked once)

just recovered and one window smashed...

Icbc estimators are going over the mechanical of it engine tranny is the only concern i have...thus I am in a world of doubt? Sell it or continue to drive? Are the mecahnical guys good about finding things wrong? doing compression tests ect???? I would hate to get it back drive it for 1-2 weeks to have a tranny blow or engine die? They say so many things but i don't beleive them....:read

Anyone with a pathfinder get a club and a killswitch last thing to be said on the matter of this....

You will never have an issue

what keys worked:

toyota corolla key/ blazer 85 door key/ my house key/ my work keys/ my mailbox key/ a screwdriver/ a hyndie key/ i could go on forever here.

Any old worn key will turn the ignition of an old nissan.... i second the notion of a club and kill switch.... done
