Question regarding suspension lift

I have a 1989 Pathy on 32's with a 3" body lift, I would like to either do an SAS lift or stock suspension lift for a little more clearance... Question is which one should I do and why?The truck is not a hard-core bush beater just some occasional off-roading so I would like to do whatever is more economical rather than dump a ton of cash into it. Any ideas on where to get it done?

On my pathfinder i cranked the torsion bars up lots. I took the 2 bolts on each A-arm out and replaced it with little bit longer ones then used like 4 or 5 washers(per bolt) as spacers too keep my camber alined on the front tires. in the back i had old chevy coils that were stiffer then stock nissan coils that i put in.

That with a 3" body lift and inner fender trim worked great for 33" tires

and only cost.

$120 body lift
$15 metric bolts and washers
$20 auto wrecker coils

SAS = Tons of cash and time.

For a fraction of the cost you can get new control arms and torsion bars and have a decent IFS system.

I'll second that opinion with first hand knowledge of the cost, time, and frustration of a SAS.
I've read good things about the 4" trailmaster kit.

This is the best suspension lift I've seen for pathfinders. If you want an IFS lift, this is the way to go.

i did the crank up the torsion bars method and it was horrible the truck went through upper ball joints every 2 months and idler arm issues not to mention all those washers made it unsafe i used a solid spacer and after a few years of flexing one pulled out
i ended up buying the super lift upper arms it fixed the ball joint problem but not the idler arm
i suggest either go with a sas or buy a toyota with a straight axel
im not knocking nissan i still have mine it just cannot handle large tires and lifts

I am cosidering going with the AC 3" Lift.


Deluxe suspension package includes 3" custom suspension lift with 3" lift coils, 4 Rancho RS9000X shocks, after-market torsion bars with 30% higher spring rate and idler arm brace.

Anyone want to do the install for me? How much $$$ ?

Calmini makes a better lift... It's all about the upper control arms.
