does anyone know if there are new 9.25" gears lower than 4.56's, and if so where?

I'm sure there are. I know you can get gears for the 8.75" a lot lower than that.

Got my gears 1 year ago. 4.56 were the lowest available. The ring gear gets thicker as the ratio drops and will not let the cross shaft slide past the teeth into the carrier.Somebody may make a new carrier now but I haven't heard about it.

Do you really want to know? Dodge 9.25" parts are mucho expensive. But anyway the gears were around $500(as opposed to $280 for the front) and the Detroit was $1100. The gears are well worth it with the 35's. The locker? It's pretty cool and if you say the price fast it doesn't hurt so much. These were from Sport Trucks Unlimited.

That locker was the same preice ans the one for the 8.75" rear. I think it is just a Dadge thing. It seems everything for my truck is more expensive. But I don't mind. I like my truck.

You are right it's a Dodge thing...and ya, I like my truck too or I wouldn't have spent the $$$. ARB just intro'd a locker for the 8.75 but nothing yet for the 9.25...strange it's been around a long time. Anyway Jeepdawg if ya ever wanna wheel w/a fellow Ram owner just let me know.
