anyone have any tricks or tips to hop up the 3l. v-6? i know, computer burning, headers, better air filter, etc... anything major? how easy is it to change over to carb? performance gains? or is it easier to drop in a 350 to the 89 pathfinder and be done? :redneck

On my '94 Pat I did overbore my T/B and intake (3 or 4mm, I don't remember now). That was a good thing.
Another good think was getting rid of the OEM airbox for cone K&N - but beware! It must be "insulated" from the rest of the engine bay, otherwise it sucks in all the heat from there. Ping, ping, ping.
Straight thru (well, almost :-) exhaust. Maybe not much power gain, but loved the sound !

I think that's all for start. Never had enough time/money to investigate blowers and such. Anyone used Frontier's blower?

Cam it. Good selection of cams out there.

Don't bother switching to carb. Too much hassle and you'll probably end up losing power.

Call up shadbolt cams in Vancouver. They offer custom grinds and they usually give you pretty good deals.

i know i could look it up myself but with limited resources i probably wouldnt find the answer, what am i looking at $$ wise for a WILD cam, and what can i gain horsepower wise? probably have a few vacuum problems with the wild cam in it, any easy solutions for those?
