: 3b-350
crusher December 20th, 2001, 01:28 pm Does anyone know about 350 swaps. I have a 3b diesel in my bj42 and it has siezed. I figure that the 350 is the cheapest way to go

dp December 20th, 2001, 02:41 pm Thats one way but the adapters will cost $1500 or so.
Why not find a late model 2F with tranny and bolt it to your t-case?
You won't need any special adapters this way, or driveshaft mods.
norm December 20th, 2001, 03:46 pm What about rebuilding the 3B with one of the Geoff Walsh ozzie kits? I believe they're quite reasonably priced.
Replacing a 3B with a 350, that's just, well, wrong! ;-)

Dan Martz December 21st, 2001, 01:08 pm Needs a rebuild and a water pump. It ran but just ok. Its pretty fair deal for a seized engine.

norm December 23rd, 2001, 10:00 am Hey, one more consideration - your BJ42 should be 24V. Not too likely you'll get a 24V 350 at the junkyard.

crusher December 30th, 2001, 02:49 pm as far as I found was the oil pump has been siezed so nothing is moving I took it to a machine shop right before it died they said it was fine then I drove it home and it died . I drained the oil and there was no metal filings or any thing wrong with the oil I had just changed it a couple weeks prior so I beleive the engine block itself is fine

crusher December 30th, 2001, 10:30 pm the head should be fine . But it isn't all the way off yet, but I don't think any thing should be wrong.
