Curtis, is there any footage from the GoPro that was mounted on Dave's helmet?

We had technical difficulties with that one. Hopefully we get that one working for the Silver State 300.

It recorded something but I haven't been able to open the file. I messed something up when I turned it on. I made the assumption it was the same interface as my GoPro and didn't play with it until the guys were getting lined up at the starting line. Next year I'll take some more time to get mounts right and to figure out how to use the cameras prior to race day. :shakehead::(

The other camera worked great until the guys got out of the car to investigate a noise. When Dave tried to do his belts back up the camera got bumped and then turned off.

Cool footage non the less!
You passed me on the right side somewhere around the 1:35 mark.
Great to see locals down there. I should have done some more research and known your starting position so I could take a pic or two... maybe next year!?

We'll be there for sure next year. Come by and say hi, we might put you to work though. :laugh

Deal! As long as I can delegate any hard work to my younger brothers. We're there.

That can be arranged. We over worked our poor guys this year.

The video was shot with an HD GoPro camera. http://www.goprocamera.com/products

Great little cameras that take really good quality video.

Speaking of which, can we borrow it again? I'll tell Dave not to turn it off.

Starting Line until the first fire. Watch for the highlift jack to make an appearance as well...

At the three mile mark the boys lost all forward gears. They ended up driving backwards for the next 18 miles. Eventually they came up with this idea...

Looks how my truck feels on a gravel road. . . Except probably twice as fast.

This car has seen 90+MPH on the flats. In the 3-4ft whoops it still goes faster than I care to drive my Jeep on a gravel road. Once you've ridden in a buggy with a tuned suspension it's real hard to go back to leafs or coils.

Alright so 3 times as fast. . . And probably more comfortable, :P

Got nothing on the Posture-Pedic massage of 4 corners of leaf springs though,

One recommendation for you guys buying GoPro's. Get a 12V USB power cable for the camera.

Something like this: http://stuntcams.com/shop/gopro-charger-cigarette-lighter-adapter-cable-p-177.html

The battery in the GoPro is only good for a couple hours so it can be a problem for longer days. Even with an 8MB memory card you run out of battery before card space (depending on settings).
