there are 2 spouts coming out of the firewall for the heater core. one is 'to heater' and one is 'from heater' which is which? or dose it matter? im putting in a 7mge and need to figure out these hoses so i can route the lines and FINALLY drop the motor in for the last time

^ is the supra 7mge heater hose layout

Bump. Anyone? The supra hose goes through the valve and enters on the passenger side. On the 22re the valve pretty much has to stay where it is because of the cable that operates it. I COULD drill a hole through the firewall to move the valve somewhere else but it would be nice to keep it where it is. So, since the hose connects to the valve then enters the motor, I take it its the 'inlet' is this true? Its gonna be a big pain in the ass to route the hoses :s

on a 79-95 toyota truck (and 4runner..) the inlet was on the driver side (left) and the outlet was on the pasenger side...

but if you reverse them, it will work just as good! the fluid can flow ether way!

Bump! how about if I use a used heater hose (http://www.thepartsbin.com/autoparts/heater_hose.html)? and now, it wont fit.. would I risk? or should I get back to the original part? replace it?

thanks
