Wow, that is not what I expected. That should be aired in all Provinces on television or at least in all the High Schools.
Of all the stupid things you could do to distract your attention while driving, texting is the stupidest. I truely believe if you get caught texting while driving, you should get youe license suspended for a few months.

Speak for yourself, I don't always answer the phone when it rings and if I do, I'm keeping my eyes on the road. I can wait until the next stop light to see who called.
General statement to no one in particular:
You know, there was a time when there were no cell phones and peoples lives went on with no problems...there was even once a time when there were no phones.

That would make a good mandatory video for pre-licensing study. I see this stuff all the time in traffic and it pisses me off to no end.
I too am one of those people that will pull over to call back a number that rang while I was driving. I hate talking on my cell while I'm driving. Text? Not a chance!

Television would be good - once per week. Its not just kids texting these days. I'd say 7 times out of 10 when i see a vehicle weaving it is because the driver is on her or his cell. More often than not they are not new drivers. Hasn't anyone head of hands free blue tooth tech? Okay, it doesn't replace common sense... and get the multi-taskers off the road...

Ouch!
What was the the dumb-ass that t-boned the girls? Was he/she texting too? Orjust didn't see the accident happen in front of him/her?
IMO, texting while driving is up there with drinking and driving.

With all the technology we have these days, something should be set up, where once you get your vehicle moving a cell phone won't work unless you're at a complete stop. There are way too many people using cell phones, pda's, etc while driving...make it a $500 fine...that doubles every time their caught. It's not worth your life, or worse, someone else's!

You don't drive much during the morning rush? Texting and cell phones calls are just one piece of the pie. The worst I saw once was a woman trying to paint her right toe nails while driving with her left foot. WTH??? Women doing their hair and make-up is a common sight. Then you got people fiddling with their GPS cause they are too lazy to take out a map beforehand and study the route. Sometimes you see more than you care to see in a RHD.
