Well, just thought I'd throw it out here. My phone reset on me and I lost all my contacts. Anyone who thinks I'm worthy enough to know your phone number please PM it so I can continue to needlessly harass you :p Cheers

I dropped mine in the Fraser while climbing up the side of a barge last year.
Personal contacts and more importantly, work contacts, all gone. The worst is losing the work numbers to the guys who actually know WTF is going on, the guys who can get you the answers right now.
At least if you drop or even crush your phone, the SIM card is still usually good.
Anyways, good luck.

I wish mine had a SIM card (damn Telus phones). Yeah it sucks royally, had this happen a few years back when I got pissed off with an old phone and I destroyed it in a fit of rage.. oops. Not fun. LR

Luckily enough it happened at work so those were the first numbers I got back. I have a ton of friends scattered all over western Canada from when I was running long haul who I have no idea how to get ahold of (most don't come up on 411 due to them being cell phones). Guess I get to find out who really matters eh? LR

Hmm I'd make sure your next phone has software that you can sync with to back up your contacts on your computer... Nokia, Motorola, BlackBerry, iPhone, all of those will sync and have the best software, and make your life a lot easier when you lose it or get a new phone!
