Seems too many of the firewood supply places don't have any quality dry stuff, and this time of year it's hard to find some decent stuff out in the bush.

Anyone hear know of a solid supply place in the Langley area?

I picked some up from AAA Firewood in Port Kells and it wasn't that great (but the price was decent)

I'd check around at mills or hardware stores for cut ends, most have a bin out front. Lumber's usually fairly useless for decent firewood because it burns too quickly but it beats having nothing or dealing with wet firewood. As an added plus, its usually free too. LR

In my spare time at work the last few days I ended up breaking down wooden pallets and removing the nails... sure its free and dry but it's not quite your typical campfire with the crackling and smells heh. Most of the free stuff on craigslist is pretty poor and usually wet.

you will want to look for a hard wood to burn.

my wifes grandpa cuts firewood in his spare time, which is most of the time, lol he gets mill ends and trees from the neighbours so he's got all kinds of different wood from pine to cottonwood and most of its pretty decent. we take it camping with us mostly cuz we dont have a chainsaw. hes out just past Micheal restaurant in dewdney. $50 for a level truck load, but dont try on sundays.

You can also just use wet wood and bring a small blow torch with you to start the fire each time.... takes a little longer, but works

There's a huge place that sells firewood in North Van across from the dump and next to the recycle depot.

you will want to split that and let it dry before you burn it. and when you do go to burn it takes lots cause you will need it. cedar is good for kindling as it burns quick, but you need something harder if you want a longer lasting fire that you dont have to put another peice on every 2 minutes.

Too late, Yeah its all burned already, we used a little dry wood to start it and although it took a whole day to burn it sure did god. We split it up small till we got a good base going and then just kept throwing the rounds in whole till it was gone.
Thanks for the tips tough:beer
