That thing is about as much Tacoma as BigFoot is F150. Pikes Peak unlmtd class racers are cool though.

wonder what engine/transmission that 'tacoma' is using... turbo 4cyl, must be a very suped up mr2/corolla motor or something. would be sweet if the whole driveline and engine was actually toyota parts.

The engine block would be something similar to their old F1 program. I would assume the rest of the driveline would be derrived from Group A rally parts, assuming toyota participated in group A back in the day.
A 1000hp turbocharged 2L motor would have a very narrow powerband. It's probably very very difficult to drive well.

toyota had a type A mk3 supra is that what you mean? had a bit more power than a regular 7mgte but same tranny and rear end.. A r154 and toy rear end could probably hold 1000hp for one race or so.
