Not trying to be too picky but are the chrome rims pretty rusted or are they fairly clean. I only ask because I know what it takes to get the real rusty ones ready for paint. Also, what series LC are they off of? Thanks, John

Snappy fish, you're No 2 in the line up. :laugh

Hornet-b, you can ask Mike Wild, I am good on my word to be there with the goods when I say I will.

Not saying you are one of them - but I don't believe in wasting people's time. I always ask up front about the condition and follow through on what I say I am going to do after I hear back from the guy listing something. I have seen lots of people on this and other boards say they will take something only to leave the guy offering it hanging and wasting time waiting around or playing com tag. Hornet_b will decide for himself what he prefers.

BTW, Hornet_b you PM box is full.

still not sure if what you are saying has anything to do with this situation or why you would think or imply that it has anything to do with this situation.

Seems to me that the guy is asking for a six-pac for a set of four rims, nothing more nothing less?

I think that even if they did have rust that a six pack is a pretty reasonable request which is why i said i would take them instead of humming and hawing?

John if you have a set of Landcruiser rims that have some rust on them and these dont, that would suit me fine also.
I am looking for a set of winter rims for a fellow hunters Landcruiser so they dont have to be all bling and such.

They are on the truck now. Price for them was as good as it gets - free. :cwm30:. Cost of a new Dewalt brush, sand, skim coat, primer and paint pushed them up to over $100. Still pretty good but not worth the time I put into it. They are my DD rims and I have winters on alloys. Alloys for winter because they are less likely to find themselves being chewed up on rocks. Rusted chrome rims are a real ***** to prep for paint even if you have use of a good wire wheel and a cabinet sandblaster. But yes, if you plan on having them painted in mud, you aren't going to bother to put the work into them to make them look good as long as they are structurally sound. I wanted another set for 33 which I would like to get used just for wheeling. They don't have to be perfect but they need to be steelies that I can make look decent and for the welds to be safe. And yes, I have seen the welds on chromies and steelies rusted beyond safe.

Either way, I won't flop over dead if I don't get these ones. :>)

Currently still have. They're in pretty decent condition. I believe they're off of a BJ 60. Painting is not necessary. And mail box only holds 5 messages, not a whole lot of room, unfortunately nothing i can do about that. Also sorry but i'm unfamiliar with Mike Wild.
