Does it need an inspection and if so were do you get this done.
Any info on what papers needed and buying insurance for bringing it across the boarder.
Thanks

A friend of mine buys one every year and sells it at the end of summer. There's no import/export paperwork and no inspections. Just attach a plate and hook it up.

There is no required inspection, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have one. If you are planning to drop 6-10g on a trailer, wouldn't you want to know if the plumbing froze last winter, if the propane hoses leak or will need replacing, if the fridge cools like it's supposed to...
An RV dealer will do an inspection on it for an hourly fee, inspecting the axles, suspension, bearing, brakes etc. $2-400 is normal for a 25' trailer and is a worthy investment if it saves you wallet-pain and headache down the road.
