Right, so industry canada wants to change the way (technically) logging frequencies are programmed into radio's

Great you say, how on earth can I tell if my radio is compliant to RSS 119 issue 5 or later....?

go to the radio equipment list, plug in the make and model of your radio and search. It will tell you the spec and issue your radio is rated for.
