My first idea !

Replace it with a better rear axle !

Before spending money on it there are many options for a better rear axle !


That being said im still running a eaton 20 rear but have upgraded to the one piece axles with a gussetetted housing !

i have a CJ5, 1980 with a Model 20 in it... not sure of the gearing but i doubt it was ever changed.. not sure if it is narrow or not... i have the front axle to.

they are still in the jeep :(

it has a 4cyl GM motor too :)

Whats the code letter or letters on the housing ..rightside of the cover
need a wire brush sometimes to clean the dirt and crap out of the letters punched on the housing
