Does anyone know if there is a database (location and date placed etc) of those metal survey disk benckmark things you see sometimes?

I believe they are monuments. Or they could be lot corner pins as well. Either way survey companies keep records of these when they place them. It also says right on the pin the date and legal description and stuff.
