CB Antenna question

So i'm mounting my CB antenna on the tire carrier and all goes well until i go to put the tire on.... oops, i drilled the hole 1/2" too close to the tire. So the tire is pushing against the antenna. Its pushing fairly close to the mounting point, but i don't think it will break, but my question is .... is it ok for a tire to be rubbing against the antenna?

Thought i would check whether that makes any difference to signal, or causes any interference if things are too close or touching the antenna.

Be fine in town but on the trail all that rockin' and rollin' is going to cause it to break eventually if it is under any stress at all.
