What does it mean that the post is closed

I tried to go back to my for salepost and edit it but it says that the post is closed?? What does that mean???

It means that a moderator closed the thread, although I'm not sure why a mod would do that. He might've meant to delete it.

Send me the link to the thread if you want it opened, and I'll do it for you.

We typically close a thread when we no longer want participation in it but want to keep it available for viewing since it contains useful information. I can't think of any buy/sell threads that would meet those qualifications.
