Rebuilding my winch. Can anyone reccomend a good waterproof grease and where I might find it. Thanks.

the package claims that it resist moisture much better than regular grease and it feels a bit stickier. i actually got some about 3 mounths ago for my winch. if youre doing a planetery winch, dont put much, if any, on the spinning cluch part.

Thanks. Warn recommends Molylube #1 or Aeroshell #17. Apparently shear strength is a concern due to the loads the gears see. Not sure where I would find that stuff though. I'll probably just use the CT stuff.

If you live out in the Valley here, I could get you some Aeroshell 17 if you just need a bit. (I use it at work a lot). If you want a whole tube or something, aviation suppliers out at YVR like Aviall, Lindair, etc. are your best bet.

Will do. Ya I'm sure you're winch could use a good cleaning too eh?
