I actually have a 30 pounder too but i thought the circumference size was a bit small for my needs.
Whatever i use i will build it instead of buying it.
I thought the above link was good for ideas and indeed good for someone who just wants to buy one....

I bought one of the CDN military surplus M101 trailers on Craigslist a while back and have been welding and bolting since.
I will post pics when done in about a month or so.
Teaser shot....

What, the trailer isn't heavy enough already you need to add more steel??:finger_1:
I like the idea of the 30lb bottle. How does a guy commit to making the first cut on a propane tank?? How do you insure it is safe to start cutting??:cwm25:

you can put a bullet hole where youre gonna cut
or just unscrew the valve off.:laugh
i did have little small flames coming out even after a few hours while i was welding to it.

Here's the wood stove I made for my 12' x 14' wall tent.
Started with an old 20lb propane tank. Purged the tank with water for 2 hrs after removing the valve. Torched off the top (residual propane still popping, even after purging).
Welded strips of 2" wide x 3/16" thick flat bar stock to extend the length of the stove to about 34". Would have been much easier (and WAY lighter) to weld two propane tanks together, or use a single 40lb tank, but none were available).
Fabricated door, hinges, latch, damper, chimney flue, etc.
Voila:

Very cool link, I've been wanting to get a wall tent for a while and that might help. For a wood stove, I have seen a few built out of old 45 gal drums, they are big enough but not super heavy and believe it or not they don't burn out as fast as one might think, One in my buddies shop lasted 5 yrs or more before he got a furnace and we used it ALL the time, when we took it out you could just see some pin holes through it.

Cabellas has some nice stuff, it was more attractive when the dollar was at par.
