Channel 4 is reporting that Volkwagen will introduce a diesel-electric hybrid Golf at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show, due to open in a couple of weeks. This vehicle is said to get a remarkable 83 mpg Imp (69 miles per US Gal) and emit just 89g/km of carbon dioxide. Even more exciting is the fact that this is a near-production model.
