I took the front off because an endlink was broken, still have the rear in place. Honestly, I think there was a difference, but I'm not sure. Still predictable and stable on the road

thanks.. in my old truck i had durring the summer there was never one in the back.. and i took the one off in the front at the end of the summer and i never noticed a differance. But i wasnt flying around corners doing 60 but i was gettin slack from ppl about it being unsafe.. soo im just trying to gather some oppinions before i put the lift in my bronco so i can figure out whether or not to put the sway bars on.

I cut the rear one right out and disco'd the front, after about a month I just left the fron un-hooked I've been driving like that for most of last summer and all winter... You notice the lean, but you just remind urself your not driving a CORVETTE so slow down...

I left my rears but took the front off to help the IFS flex a little. I notice some lean but no more extra than when I lifted it 3 1/2" . its more fun when I leans anyway, but it makes fishtailing kinda scary

i took the one in the front out but when the one in the back was not working properly i really noticed it it made a big difference driving with no sway bars or one sway bar

i have my front disco-ed permanently now .... I was gonna buy quick disconnects for it, but i drove around with it disconnected for a while and now i just can't part with the increased on-road comfort of not having it there.
It's more wobbly if you drive like a jerk, but whatever, i love how much more comfortable it is :D

My 75 cj never had them. I dont think they used them until later on.

My 71 FJ never had them either.
On a more relevant note, for years I used to drag race my dodge dakota for fun. I used to remove the sway bars before the track day and drive for 2 hrs each way to get there. I noticed a small difference but nothing that I would call unsafe.
What people should worry about is not maintaining brakes and such on vehicles. Your sway bar only acts to help balance the load on the tires when cornering. This helps maintain contact with the road. Without them, its not like you are going to go flying of the road or flip over. They don't make enough difference. Improper tire pressure or worn shocks cause more of a safety concern.

with my front removed i get alot more flex, as for the rear it had too much flex compared to the front so it stayed.
