emancipation mine

up near carolin mines there is the emancipation....ive seen it on bad maps....but just cant seem to find it .....anyone been to it...or got good directions

I have been up there. there is no vehicle access in but you can walk a bit to it. The old overgrown trail is on the west side of the road half way to the old caroline gate. you can drive 100 onto the old trail .look for old survey ribbon. If you go in be real carefull there is rotten timbers and old shafts covered with planks unstable stopes etc. go to the caroline mines acees page for pics

i got a trailer in a campsite half way between hope and yale....i wont be gong till spring

ive actually got a good idea where it is......driven lots of side roads.....found a road on the gps that seems to go in the right direction ....but there is a shale wall that came down....with 500 hundred foot cliff on the left....i aint driving that...or pick out the shovel.......all other are steep........

thats the road it is just after that if you follow the road down after the adits there is suppost to be a additional more recent adit. I think the old mill would be down there
