OK, as I am promoting the formation of a 4X4HAM club via membership of a local Amateur radio club and by being a member of the 4WDABC, this will make you a member of this group. Can I get a show of hands, I know you may have supported this on the other thread, who is still interested in forming this. I have been e-mailing the various clubs, their responses have been supportive and see a benefit of being aligned with the 4WDABC. This can be a mutually beneficial arrangement for both groups to help promote the Associations goals of being involved in various activities and to help the clubs maintain their numbers as well as the betterment and improvement of Amateur radio.

But thats one of the needs for a club, I am no expert either, but like asking for advice on how to build a suspension or troubleshooting the same can be done with radio, and as it involves communication, gets us talking to each other more, the web is ok, but nothing beats a good old conversation. And there is more benefit both as individuals and for the 4WDABC if we can use this to further the off road cause

I will pass on the kick in the junk and the pointy-toed cowboy boots and voice my support for a 4x4HAM club and my desire to be associated with said club.

Looks like the clubs are starting to come though with courses, time to see what its going to take to get this off the ground. I started by joining the Richmond Radio club, for those interested in getting a 4X4HAM club, I would encourage you to do the same, join a club local to you, get involved in some of the activities. Once we have enough local club members, we can look at how best to bring the different groups and direction the various members bring to the table. It may be that nothing comes of, other than we have a bunch of wheelers that are club members, which is not a bad thing. Or we get enough interest that allows the 4WDABC to benefit the addition of certified Radio operators in a club setting.
