If it is older than 15 years it really is easy to export from the US.
The trouble is that you have to have a provincial safety inspection; witch can really be a pain.
My truck didn’t have reverse lights, exhaust did not exit the box and the windows had tinting. There were some other things but they let them slide because it was a frame off restoration.
all and all it was worth it because the truck was ½ price in the us

I dont know why everyones so parinoid about getting a inspection?
Unless its a piece of junk its usually minor things like lights exhaust etc that need fixing.
Inspections arent that big of a deal if you fix the little crap yourself.

If you are gong to buy a vehicle oyu have to submit the paperwork to the USA border at least 48hrs before you plan on bringing the car across. Other than that it is not too difficult.

And don't try to BS on the price or let the seller put a lower price on the papers. Sellers in the US will do it to avoid income tax and of course people importing it do it to avoid the PST and GST. Customs has 48 hrs to check and they will check. If you falsify the amount they will seize your vehicle and you will have to pay 40% the value to get it released.
