Strange Hicup/hesitation

I have a 91 4runner 3.0l. For the last few months every once and a while, seems completely random. It will hicup, revs drop, lights dim, etc. The hicup will be sometimes quite violent, like being hit in the bumper to almost not noticeable. The truck run perfect before and after it happens. I have reciently done the plugs and wires, changed the fuel filter, had the timing belt and waterpump replaced, the clutch was done 10,000k ago. I also put new OME 901's in the back and cranked my torsion bars to match. I also added 33 inch tires. Has anyone else experienced this before? Any help would be much appriciated!!

See if a trouble code is being generated.

No code generated, is it possible that this has something to do with the clutch? For awhile my clutch would make a chattering sound when depressed but has since gone away, possible related???

Are your battery clamps tight?
I've also heard and expierinced this with my Tercel and other Toyota's. It happened due to a dirty TPS. My Tercel's lights didn't dim, it happened too fast. It was a harsh hiccup that, like you described, felt like you were hit. It never generated a code, I think it happened too fast to generate a trouble code.

yea. I have a 91 yota pu, v6. just started happening last year. happends very randomly, once a month or maybe every couple weeks... depending. Ive had the clutch replaced since the first time its happened and it still does it once and a while. same thing as you described. i just role with it.
