advertise it as "parting out" but always keep the "or buy whole" aspect open. The only problem with parting out is YOU always end up with the garbage when its all said and done. Like flies on sh*t!.

If you want to get rid of the whole thing I may have a buyer for you.
What's your price?

Thanks for the interest however i am only considering parting it out i was just currious if any of you had done it or is it just easier to sell it as a whole unit i dont even have any idea what certain parts are worth .
let me know what you think

I part out a few toys now and then.
It's easier to get rid of them as a whole truck but you have to comprimise a little. Meaning you may not get as much as you would if you parted it out.
When parting something out, it usually takes longer then you thought. So if you have family or neighbors who aren't really interested in looking at your collection of "highly sought after toyota parts" it might not be the way to go.
The other side of it is... Do you really want 50 people coming by your house scoping things out? If they even show up at all. Or just 1 guy who wants to buy the whole thing.

some insite .....
I have parted out many units ... in my experence .... unless you have room to store and cataloge .... its a venture.
toyota parts are not uncommon , as you have probabaly seen on this board ..... you wont make any money , you will need other sourses . you will also have the expence of getting rid of the scrap . you will sell some stuff , dont get me wrong .... but what will you do with the other half ? ....... If you can sell the whole unit for a fair price ...I say take it.
