Hey Folks,

Can someone tell me if this SWR is capable of VHF?
Midland 23-500xl SWR (http://imezak.stores.yahoo.net/23mispome23.html)

My other SWR meter states that its only good up to 30MHz, but I have no clue what a "wHz" is?.. Is it just a misprint and should be an "M" for MHz.

Wanting to tune in my 2m HAM, but not sure if i can..

And If I cant use mine,, does someone have an VHF Capable SWR closer to the Chilliwack area I could borrow quickly to tune my Antenna?

Thanks,
Ryan

I'm sure when we just took Ham slam, Don said that a SWR meter used for a CB would work fine for Ham.

Nope, when I spoke to him on this, he did specifically say to me, that SWR's have specific frequency ranges.
My radio shack SWR at home is only capable of CB and HF, (1.5MHz-30MHz).
If you a quick search on the net, you will see this. There are some that are capable of HF and VHF (<150MHz) and upwards to UHF (<500MHz)

Thats why I was wondering what "wHz" meant in the stats on that SWR. Is it capable of VHF as well?...
I've tried the Midland site, but there is no listing of that SWR meter or any other..

Thanks,
Ryan

Stan at Comm West is very helpful and that's where I bought my Larsen from.
