I could swear that I saw it (or one like it) in Port Coquitlam the other day. I remember it because I looked at it and thought: "wow.. you don't see a lifted Trooper very often.. that's kinda neat"
I think it was yesterday, but my short-term memory is so bad for reasons I refuse to disclose, that I could be wrong. I'm sure that it was a black lifted Trooper with 32's or 33's though.

Thanks for the tip! At least is was still in one piece... I called the cops and let them know, but they said they wouldnt persue it. They wouldnt even phone the POCO cops to tell them it had been spotted. Maybe I'll phone the PoCo police myself. Jebus, did you see it parked somewhere or just driving past you...? Pleeeeaaaaase try to remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want my truck back!!!

I drive all over Port Coquitlam almost every day. My job is driving, so I honestly don't remember where it was. I want to think it was just off Pitt River Rd, near the 7-11 (across from the Terry Fox library), but it could have been near The Cat and the Fiddle pub.... it was in that area anyway, I'm pretty sure about it.
I'm keeping my eyes open for ya though. I have a buddy who lives in the area keeping one open too.
Good Luck
P.S. If you catch them and need some help with a little rough justice... I (as well as a bunch of others from this board I'm sure) will give you a hand.:D

crappy deal, i will keep my eyes open this way too, Last saturday 4 toyota trucks all between the year 86-88 were stolen out my way all in the same night, all were recovered in the same night, one was my buddies they found it that torched aswell as the others, then just the other night two of my buddies had there 2001 ford rangers stolen, the cops say they are investigating .... just a heads-up to everyone... guess its time to bolt mine down to the drive way...hehee , goodluck in finding you trooper

that's great news...well since it got stolen, It'd be better if those pricks could work for what they want rather then taking someone elses...

Where did they find it??
About a block from my house. The funny thing is, I drove around for 3 days looking for it, and the street it was found on I went down 4 times, even going into the apartment parking lots and looking down all the driveways(bad street...) and I never saw it, so whoever took it left it there today. It doesnt make any sense at all but at least its back!!!!:D BTW, I phoned the PoCo RCMP and told them someone saw it there and they immediately notified all cars to keep an eye out, so I think I gained a little respect back for at least the RCMP....

Well.. I am truly glad that you got it back, and hopefully there's no damage to the thing. It was missing for four days, kind of odd that it would just re-appear like that near your street... but that's besides the point. You got your truck back and that's all that really matters :D If only it was like that for everyone else.
Good luck with ICBC if there's anything wrong with it. And I'll still keep an eye out for your truck, because now I know who'll be driving it. :p

Glad to hear it has been found, and not torched. I hope your dealings with ICBC go well. Good luck

Nope it was clean. Oddly clean... even the interior looked like it had been vaccuumed!? They took everything from inside, empty Tim Hortons cups, scrap paper, box of tissue, EVERYTHING!!!!! It doesnt make any sense.... The only thing they left was an old pair of boots I had for when I got stuck and the headrest pillow from my daughters carseat, both set neatly in the rear corner.

They stole it, cleaned it, and gave it back. I like thieves like that:D :(
Is there any damage to it?

 cue "Twilight Zone" music...............
BTW what kind of anti-theft did you have ? steering lock? alarm? starter kill etc?
how did they defeat these (if you did have them)
and how will you prevent this from happening in the future?
I am always terrified of having my rig stolen and have it alarmed and locked to death, but are there some devices that are better than others? Maybe a cable lock versus a "club" style lock etc?

Did you go see it at ICBC? If so, sounds like you saw it after they cleaned it. They have a private contracted detailer that handles thefts (due to hazardous materials some thieves leave behind). Anyway, if you saw it at ICBC they had probably already been through it to clean it out, they do this first before the vehicle goes anywhere.
If not...wierd, and it wasn't the guys who stole mine!!

Good to hear the damage was minimal, at least theres a hope when trucks get stolen.

I got to ICBC before they did anything to it. I was warned to clean it thoroughly before letting my kids back in. My key still works in the ign so they let me take the truck right from ICBC. I didnt have any theft deterents, but I sure will now. I'm just glad to have my Troop back; I didnt feel like showing up for the toy run in my slammed Jetta:eek: :p

There is another black Troopersauras like yours. My buddy Andrew has one in Tsawwassen. It's huge, black, 33's as well, so maybe some people mistook it for this one. He has a roof rack on his though. At least you got it back.

Through all of this I egotistically assummed I was the only Trooper around with 33"s, and I think an apology is necessary, just in case all the other(and apparently theres a few!) big troopers got hassled because of me;) I'm very happy to have it back, especially for the toy run. If anyone personally knows of other trooper owners, send them my way, I'd like to compare notes :D And maybe do a Troopers run....

If you reported it stolen to the police it would have been sent out on a hot sheet stolen vehicle report. All the departments get it and hopefully if one of the boys in blue runs your plate it will come up as stolen. Good luck! I really do hate car thieves!
