winch sizing

building a new front bumper,I don't have a winch yet but will be getting one soon.so anyway,I would like to leave enough room for a winch.what is the spacing of the mounting holes?are most winches ruffly the same?so if i'm adding a 1/2 plate to mount it through what size should it be,(eg. 12"X18"
or 13"x20"..or..?).I thinking of a 9000lbs winch,anything brand except a 8724 or whatever the model is(seams to big for what I'm going for)

All the Warn and I belive Ramsey winches use a 10.0" x 4.5" pattern.
The Warn winches are between 22" wide for a 8000lbs and 25" for a 15000lbs
The Ramsey winches are around 23" I think.

If you go to warn.com, they've got the specs on all their winches... if they don't have the distances between bolt holes, I can measure the M6000 I have in the garage
