Its not a project, but just thought I'd post some pics for anybody that is lookin and wants to mount it to there hitch. This worked out pretty good once I shimed the reciever with a big 1/4" washer(fender) and made a few adjustments with the holes. I got it back from powder coat today and threw it on. I bought this from CBI out of Cali. It ended up coasting me about 400 by the time it was in my hands.8889

Dosn't move at all once I shimed it with a washer (for the side to side slop). Up and down slop is taken up by a welded nut with a bolt in the carrier reciever. Once U slide the carrier reciever into the bumper reciever U tighten the bolt from the back which forces the carrier down. It seems to work good, no slop. I had to fu*k with a few things to get it all to work out, but when U give the specs over the phone its bound to happen. :beer

As far as I can tell it pivots on a big bolt 3/4" with washers for spaceing and is held on with a fiber locking nut. Fits inside some snug fit tubeing. Theres not much presure on the pivot so it doesn't need a hub or such. When locked in place its a pretty tight fit, no sloppin around. But this had to be acomplished through some medling.
hope this helps:beer_cheers:

You could just fab up a receiver for the back of the trailer and mount it to that if need be.

Is it a PITA to hold the tire up while trying to slide the hitch pin in?

Not at all, its a snug fit so it holds itself up. It takes a few tries to line up the pin hole, because the fit is so tight. For a 35" tire it manouvers quite easily. For a 40"er it might be a different story.

Actually, I can see more than I could when the tire was fitted into the back resting on my sub box. Its worked out pretty good all in all. I'd have to say overall It was a quality purchase.:beer
