i am looking for a amc 401 that came in some internationals= may be listed as a 400 if installed in ihc.
block, crank, or complete engine ok

I believe the catalog I have says they have 401 long blocks, used for sale.

try jasper engines out of the states?
try the ifsja.org site to, as it is a jeep motor. It also came in waggy's ect

thanks guys but sooner or later one will come up in b,c,! the shipping on engines is just too high once one needs to cross the border!
i just want a core to build my own hi perf engine and dont want a complete factory style long block as i would have to throw away the pistons etc. anyways!
all i really need is a block and crank and a set of rods would be bonus.

well bob nob. its like this. i was never real fussy before, but then i got to know you and i woke up.
i thought you said your yota was 401 powered.
i bet you have spares kicking around too.

I've got a 401 for you . it was built 3 yrs ago every thing is new pistons etc. you talked to ghostrider about it .the jeep also has 4:56 gears in it so it will be a good parts truck for you. $1000.00

is it a stock type rebuild? any perf parts on it? year of engine?
is truck driveable or need to be towed?
auto or 4 speed?

the engine was built 3 yrs ago but the jeep has been sitting for a year.it also has a new tranny and the t-case was built a year before that. the differentials are front and rear dana 44's.the truck is completely stock,however it does require a new rad and bodywork. if you need more info email me @

not much really , just humming and hawwing about whether i want to drive all the way down there and maybe tow it back.
just a block is so much easier to transport, and besides= i thought you beat me to it, and i was trying to do a nice deed for you if you wanted it.
