I've created this forum to help the 4WDABC improve their communications with the fourwheeling community. The new association president, Steve Dillen, has provided me with the following introductory text:

Hi -- I'm Steve Dillen and I've just accepted the role as president of the Four Wheel Drive Association of British Columbia for 2007. At our association's annual general meeting of March 17, 2007, I and a completely new board of directors assumed office. We have aggressive plans for the association -- and in implementing those plans believe that the association will be assuming a significantly different direction that we have previously held.

Over the course of this year, I expect the association to:

1. Fix our finances. To be honest, we've spent a significant amount of our member's money over the last many years and cannot show true value to our membership for those expenses.

2. Improve the public awareness and perception of our organization. In a nutshell, we need to increase the acceptance of Four Wheeling as a recreation activity which is a cornerstone of living in British Colunbia

3. Improve our responsiveness to our membership. Our Members have definite expectations of the association -- without our membership, we are nothing.....

4. Attract new members. Our success lies in our growth.

I have asked BC4x4 to provide a "talk to the Association" forum which will allow me to respond and react to the four wheeling community's requirements while communicating the Associations activities to you. Please use this forum to talk to us. Any concerns, questions, complaints, compliments (I'd like lots of those, thank you!!!!) are welcome here. The Association WILL respond here.

I thank you for your continued support -- together I believe that we can continue to expand 4x4 recreational opportunities in BC.

I encourage everyone to use this opportunity to talk to the 4WDABC so we can all work together to make it an association that will best serve our needs.
