china, that's where they are made anyways. if you're looking to save a few bucks, just get the costco champion winch.
but to answer your question, i believe lordco can get them as well as many online sources.

Check the board sponsors....seems like there's a cartoon of a Milemarker winch on most pages here. Are you looking at the electric or hydraulic version? If hydraulic, I'm running one and will be happy to discuss my observations.....

There are quite a few operational differences that you need to consider if you're thinking about hydraulic. In general,
Hydraulic pulls more slowly than electric
Hydraulic can pull for longer than electric without damage
Hydraulic will operate under water (but will your engine?)
I consider hydraulic to have a few safety advantages over electric.
For most of the winching people do, electric is probably the best choice. I personally like the Milemarker hydraulic unit.....and knowing the limitations, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one....but they're not for everyone.

But you can't beat Costco's return policy. Some guys here buy them then exchange them for a new one when they are um...not satisfied with the product (it breaks). Of course some people might consider that taking advantage of their generous return policy. There are a couple threads here on the winch. Here is one: http://bb.bc4x4.com/archive/index.php/t-90567.html

good return policy or not, if/when a cheap winch dies and leaves the truck stuck, the return policy would be the last thing on my mind.

milemarker don't have much of a reputation either from what i read from other first hand users. for about $600 and a drive down to blaine or sumas, you could have an M8000.

$525usd + $20 to ship. a while back they were $495 shipped. get it shipped to a shipping place just across the border. put it on your truck and drive it back. it's a secret though so don't tell anyone, k?

I'm sure everyone's got an opinion, but an M8000 is perfectly serviceable for a SWB Jeep. If you have a situation where a single-line pull isn't doing it, you can always double up with a snatch block (or nearly so).
The M8000 is low profile, you can tuck the relays away out of the elements, it's relatively light as winches go and it's inexpensive.
I guarantee that my Jeep weighs more than yours.
